  • What tasks will I need to complete as part of this training exercise?
Below are few of the tasks these exercises will need you to complete to ensure you receive the best possible experience for your exercise: Invite the community partners you'd like to have at your exercise Watch a short training video (less than 8 minutes) Complete the exercise as the controller & evaluator (with our team supporting you by running the simulation offsite) And once we provide you with your after-action report, you will have the needed information to complete your local improvement plan by simply filling in the blanks. While this is a high-level overview of what you can expect, our team is prepared to accommodate your unique needs. We are standing by to support you every step of the way!
  • How much time will I need to complete the training?
In less than 8 hours time, you can have this year’s exercise done, with all the documentation needed to meet the federal requirements. This includes all of your pre-work, conducting the actual exercise and completing your improvement plan. This is nearly an 80% reduction in the typical time commitment that this federal requirement can take! Why continue investing your time in exercise planning, document development, phone calls, emails, and so on when we are here to help alleviate that burden?
  • What if I get stuck?
Although most clients are able to breeze through the checklist unassisted, you can rest assured that our approach will not leave you feeling abandoned or confused. With our support, your team will have everything needed to conduct a functional exercise, even if you get stuck or have a question along the way.
  • What aspects of my exercise will be tested?
We test a variety of aspects of your emergency operation plans, policies and guidelines. If you have a specific area of concern before the exercise that you’d like us to focus on more deeply, please just let the team know at the time of booking and we will be glad to accommodate those requests.
  • What if I need to reschedule or cancel my date?
Re-booking Your Exercise: We understand the ever-changing nature of the healthcare world and are happy to re-book your exercise with at least one week’s notice. Our team of professionals will work with you to find a new time that suits the schedules of all your key personnel. However, suppose a real-world emergency or other similar unforeseen factors impact your facility. In that case, our team will work with you to reschedule this exercise any time before your scheduled exercise gets to 50% completion. After reaching the exercise halfway point, we will have enough information to complete an AAR. Through a unique survey provided to the customer, you will be able to take that real-world emergency that impacted you during the exercise and apply that information to your exercise After-Action Report as well. Cancelations/Refunds: Unfortunately, due to the preparation needed to ensure a successful exercise experience for you, Torchlight cannot offer refunds on canceled events with less than two weeks’ notice. However, we will work with you to reschedule the exercise date or provide you with a coupon code that can be redeemed at another time. With more than two weeks’ notice, you will receive a full refund OR, at the discrection of the customer, a coupon voucher that can be used when you are ready to re-schedule your exercise.
